Domaine de la Juviniere Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru

More than 40 years old on average. The grapes are crushed whole and the resulting must left to settle for 24 hours. The clear must is then fermented in oak barrels. The barrels are selected with a light toasting and the origins of oak with little flavour, in order to keep to the finish wine, the maximum natural and typical minerality. The wine then matures on lees for 12 months. The wine is bottled with no fining and after plate and frame filtering. This parcel produces about 35 hl/ha on average. Moderate oak influence highlights ripe aromas of green apple and white rose petal that merge gracefully into big, robust and full-bodied flavors that possess obvious minerality and driving energy on the vibrant and gorgeously long finish. This is a big and super intense wine that stains the palate. Definitely worth checking out.
