Description: Colour: Intense ruby red with light violet nuances. Bouquet: Vinous and fruity, with notes of mulberry, cherry and wild fruits. Taste: Generous, round, full-bodied and velvety.

Production: Soil composition: Pebbly terroirs, rich with micro-elements. Ideal soil and weather conditions, in the valleys and hills between the Adriatic sea and the Majella mountain. Altitude: 130-400 m above sea level. Exposure: South, South-East. Cultivation system: Abruzzo trellis. Yield (hectolitres per hectar): 95. Harvesting period: First ten-day period of October. Vinification: After soft pressing, grapes macerate for 72 hours at about 28 C. Refinement: Steel.

Food Combination: Main courses with rich sauces, red meat, game, salami and seasoned cheeses.
