Description: A deep ruby red color, a full-bodied wine, with a lingering berry-fruit perfume and a pleasant soft velvety finish. It improves with age to finally reach its maximum level. Campo del Bosco is Poggio Salvis most prestigious wine. It is a red geographically specified wine of an exceptionally high quality, produced with pure Sangiovese Grosso (Brunello).

Production:  After long maceration on the grape-skin the wine is aged in new 5 hl tonneau for approximately a year. It is then left to rest for a further six months. Campo del Bosco is produced only in exceptional years and in limited quantities.

Food Combination: Meat-dishes, game, poultry, truffle, wild boar Venison, stew, roasted duck, partridge olive oil, charcuterie, and pecorino cheese, Gouda cheese.
