Description: The complex smells of cooked ripe fruits may seem closed in its youth, but with a few years of laying down, it will have reached its full complexity with hints of underwood and spices. In the mouth the finesse of its tannins offers a velvety generous bouquet which is unbeatable. It will get better with time to become a much sought after elixirColour in deep purple and Complex, red fruits nose. Powerful, generous, solid: final taste is lasting and rounded.

Production: The Gigondas wines were classified Cru du Cotes du Rhone in 1971. The Gigondas Vieux Clocher comes from vines grown on slopes which are exceptionally sunny. Grown in chalky red clayey with round stones. Traditional vinification with partial de-stemming and 18 days vatting time. Aging for 6 - 12 months in oak barrels in our underground caves. Color in deep purple and Complex, red fruits nose. Powerful, generous, solid; final taste is lasting and rounded. Yield: 28 hl/ha.

Food Combination: Game, giblets, red meats in sauce, stew, blue cheese.
